[:en]Cate Turton has been the Head of DFID Mozambique since August 2016. She previously worked for DFID in the Horn of Africa for eight years, leading Conflict, Humanitarian and Livelihood programmes and heading the Sudan office.
Before joining DFID in 2004, Cate worked for International Non-Government Organisations and was a Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute publishing research on rural development and humanitarian issues.
She holds a degree in Geography and a Master of Science in Soil and Water Management.[:]
