Boris Atanassov

Boris Atanassov is the founding director of GreenLight, a Mozambican based consulting firm specializing in energy and environment. He holds a Master of Science from the Stockholm University focusing on Energy Development. Boris has over 12 years of experience in developing feasibility studies, market research, policy analysis, environmental impact assessments (EIA’s), institutional capacity building, fund administration and managing projects within the mentioned fields. Notable projects include: Technical Assistance to The Renewable Energy Auction Program in Mozambique (PROLER); a Solar Energy PPP in Southern Mozambique; a Cotton waste to Energy project in Cuamba district; A hydro electrification project in Niassa; as well as the introduction of ethanol cook-stoves in the Mozambican market.
